Community Outreach
Boots on
the ground.
Hearts in
the work.
We meet youth where they live, study, and gather — building local capacity for mental health support that endures long after we leave the room.

Our Goals
Two clear goals.
A whole community shift.
Spread Mental Health Awareness
Public education to reduce stigma and normalize conversations about mental health across schools and communities.
Encourage Help-Seeking Behaviour
Empower youth, families, and communities to recognise warning signs and take action — early.
Where We Show Up
Three settings.
One mission.
From rural secondary schools to urban universities and grassroots community gatherings, our outreach is intentionally designed to remove distance, cost, and stigma from the path to support.

Secondary Schools
Stigma-reduction sessions, screening, and referral protocols embedded into school life.

Universities
Peer-led conversations, workshops, and ambassador recruitment across higher education.

Community Events
Marketplaces, faith spaces, sports gatherings — meeting youth where they already are.
Training Intermediaries
We don't just provide care.
We build local capacity.
We train and supervise community members and first responders so they can identify, support, or refer youth experiencing mental health challenges — strengthening systems from the inside out.

Teachers
Equipped to spot warning signs in classrooms and refer students into the right pathway.
Community Health Workers
Trained as the first line of psychosocial support inside neighbourhoods and villages.
Health Care Workers
Upskilled to integrate mental-health screening into routine primary-care visits.
Peer Supporters
Youth-to-youth ambassadors providing relatable, stigma-free first contact.
Mental Health Ambassador Program
Youth equipping
other youth.
We recruit youth aged 15 to 25 who are passionate about mental health and ready to learn. Ambassadors become trusted, relatable first-responders within their own peer groups.
Sessions are delivered both online and offline via TAHMEF Academy — making it possible to reach ambassadors in the most remote areas as easily as those in city centres.

In the Field
Real outreach.
Real conversations.
Every session, screening, and conversation is a step toward making mental health support as normal as any other form of care.

How It Connects
Outreach feeds
our digital backbone.
Every trained intermediary becomes a trusted referral pathway into AHADI's digital channels — ensuring no case slips through the cracks.
